Ricoh has discovered two isolated incidents of overheating which have occurred on one model of the multi‑function colour printer series (listed above) manufactured prior to May 2014.

Following a thorough investigation, we have determined that, in very rare cases, certain internal electrical components are at risk of overheating and present a potential fire hazard.

Ricoh takes any potential product safety concern seriously.  We have already upgraded the vast majority of potentially affected models in operation in Australia in order to minimise the risk of any future incidents.

We are also issuing this notice in an effort to upgrade as many devices as possible. If you have an existing maintenance agreement for the affected model, the necessary fix should have already been completed on your device.

However, if you have one of the remaining affected models that have not received the necessary fix and have not been contacted by a Ricoh representative, please contact your Ricoh authorised service provider at your earliest convenience to schedule a service appointment for your device.

The fix is provided free of charge and takes around 30 minutes to complete.

We thank you for your understanding. Please be reassured that our team is working extremely hard to minimise any impact this may have on your business. We are dedicated to providing our customers the highest quality products and services.
