PaperCut MF/NG security focused release (March 2024)

Ricoh understands the importance of security and is committed to managing its products and services with the most advanced security technologies possible for its customers worldwide. 

As a distributor of PaperCut software, we would like to advise that PaperCut have released the latest security focused release of Papercut MF (23.0.7). The issues addressed in this release are part of Papercut’s ongoing security uplift program which involves internal reviews and penetration testing with external parties.

Papercut recommends all organisations plan an upgrade to this release, however, organisations with PaperCut NG/MF servers that are accessible from the Internet (e.g. open ports), or have untrusted actors within the network (e.g. a large University) are strongly advised to prioritize this upgrade.

What do I need to do?

PaperCut has recommended you apply the latest upgrade at the earliest opportunity. You can do this by following the recommended upgrade procedure which can be found at the following link.
