PaperCut MF/NG vulnerability update (April 2023)
Ricoh understands the importance of security and is committed to managing its products and services with the most advanced security technologies possible for its customers worldwide.
As a distributor of PaperCut software, we would like to advise that PaperCut has received vulnerability reports for two newly identified high/critical severity security vulnerabilities in its MF/NG software.
Papercut has evidence to suggest that unpatched servers are being exploited in the wild.
If you use PaperCut software, the vendors immediate advice it to upgrade your Papercut Application Server to one of the fixed versions listed on their website.
Where can I get the latest information?
The latest Information on the identified vulnerabilities can be found on the PaperCut website.
What do I need to do?
PaperCut has recommended you apply the latest upgrade at the earliest opportunity. You can do this by following the recommended upgrade procedure which can be found at the following link.
You can get the latest update from the admin console of the PaperCut server: ‘Check for updates’ page (accessed through the Admin interface > About > Version info > Check for updates) will allow customers to download fixes for previous major versions which are still supported (e.g. 20.1.7 and 21.2.11) as well as the current version (22.0.9).
Ricoh’s Professional Services team is able to assist with the upgrade. Charges will apply.
